HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE
2009
SHOWCASE:

2009 Award Winners


2009 Sign-up Rules (information in RED has been updated as of Tuesday, April 21st 9pm)
By popular demand, the Stage, Screen and Television Actors' Conference we will also offer a SHOWCASE allowing Professional and Intermediate level conference participants to audition for the assembled faculty and receive individual, written feedback.

SHOWCASE PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING:

  • 15 headshots, 8" x 10" with resume glued to the back--headshots will not be returned.
  • 1 1/2 inch black, three ring binder -- Binders will not be returned.
  • Prepare a monologue and/or song under 2 minutes.
  • Do NOT Hole Punch Headshots

SHOWCASE INSTRUCTIONS

1) You may email DDKramer2@aol.com and request a SHOWCASE reservation until April 20th. After April 20th, SHOWCASE slots will be filled the day of the conference. Your reservation will be held only upon verifying your registration status and experience level (Please provide a headshot/resume for review at the conference, or Actors Equity, SAG or AFTRA card).

2. If singing, participants should bring sheet music in the proper key.
An accompanist will be provided. 

3. Plan to perform a song and/or monologue under a total of 2 minutes. 

NOTE: You MUST be already registered for the conference to reserve a space in the showcase. If you were not able to register online, and plan to register at the door the day of the conference, you may request to be placed on the SHOWCASE backup list (this info has been updated as of Tuesday, April 21st 9pm)


Professional Status ACTORS MUST MEET ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA
1. Member of Actors Equity Association or Screen Actors Guild or AFTRA (Member or Eligible) OR
2. A graduate of four-year college degree program in a performance area (theatre or vocal performance) OR
3. At least two professional (paid) performance experiences in an equity theatre (i.e. The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego Repertory Theatre, The Welk) OR
4. At least three paying principal/supporting roles in a professional, non-equity theatre (e.g. Cygnet Theatre, Diversionary, Lamb's Players, Lyric Opera San Diego, Moonlight, Moxie Theatre, NCRT, Sledgehammer, Starlight, etc.)

5. 2 Paid On-Camera Credits

Intermediate Status ACTORS MUST MEET ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA
1. Students currently enrolled in a four-year college degree program majoring in a performance area OR
2. Actors over the age of 12 who have had at least two lead roles in a high school play or youth theatre where tickets were sold to the performance OR
3. Adult actors who have performed at least three supporting or lead roles in community or amateur theater where tickets were sold.

will take you to the next step in your career.
